This is my third collar here, and my first time purchasing one with the custom velcro area which I wouldn't do again. I ordered a custom phone number "patch" and they altered the collar to accommodate (which is so cool). However, I expected it just to be the size of one patch, like as if I ordered a flag attachment, but instead like half of the collar is the velcro material and the color discrepancy between the velcro and the fabric kind of bothers me visually. I don't know if I could have ordered it differently or what but I don't love her collar. The other two I've purchased (with just names) have been great!

The reason that we add velcro from the name until the end on the collar is so that no matter where you put the tri-glide, there will always be enough room to attach that phone number patch. Where the tri-glide sits is determined by your pup's neck size, whether they’re still growing (in this case, the tri-glide would move outward as the pups neck size increases), etc.
For instance, if the 17.5-23.5” range is sized to 17.5”, the tri-glide will be directly next to the name. However, if the neck size is 20”, it will be more towards the middle. Ideally, we don’t want customers to have to place the patch over top of the tri-glide, as it looks bulky and isn’t very aesthetically appealing. Also, if a customer plans to purchase more patches down the line, more velcro ensures that they can add/swap more patches later down the line!
