  • Organic Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

1. Pour the chicken broth into an ice cube tray, filling each compartment halfway.

2. Dice apples into small pieces or crush them into an applesauce-like consistency.

3. Evenly distribute the diced apples among the compartments, topping up with more chicken broth if necessary.

4. For a well-rounded healthy treat, add in some shredded carrots!

5. To add some extra flair, sprinkle a tiny amount of organic cinnamon on top.

6. Place the tray in the freezer, and let the treats freeze completely.

Important Note: Cinnamon is considered safe for dogs in small amounts, and has some potential health benefits. Cinnamon has antioxidant properties ( may help protect dogs from oxidative stress), anti-inflammatory effects (can help arthritis/joint pain), and can help in blood sugar regulation in diabetic dogs.

However, large amounts of cinnamon can be toxic to dogs. Avoid cinnamon oil as it is highly concentrated, cinnamon sticks as they can be a choking hazard, and consider the potential for allergies within your pup.

Cinnamon Safety: If you want to give your dog cinnamon, it's recommended to consult with your veterinarian first. They can advise you on the appropriate amount and how to administer it safely. However, avoid giving them cinnamon sticks or cinnamon oil.

These frozen treats are perfect as an easy-to-make, delectable snack for your pup. Keep them in an airtight container in the freezer, so that you have a refreshing reward ready for your pup whenever they deserve a special treat!
