Every time we rescue a new dog, we give it about 30 days before committing to a name — and before ordering their Tactipup collar. At this point, we’ve bought four of the 2-inch wide collars with the handle and Cobra buckle, and they’ve held up incredibly well across the board. One is going on 5 years old!
The build quality is excellent. The thick, webbing-like material doesn’t tear or fray, even when our dogs are roughhousing, rolling in questionable things, or taking impromptu swims. I’ve even mounted small GPS trackers using screws, and the holes seem to self-heal once the trackers are removed for washing. Nothing’s stretched out or weakened over time.
One feature I really appreciate is how wide the collars are — they’re perfect for large dogs and give plenty of space for attachments without looking bulky or uncomfortable. We’ve gotten plenty of compliments at the park, and the colors haven’t faded, even after a lot of use.
